Frequently Asked Questions

To arrange a visit, please click here and complete the online form or call the nursery directly. Our team will be happy to assist you in scheduling your visit.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances might cause delays. Please contact the nursery as soon as possible if you anticipate being late, so we can make necessary arrangements for staff coverage.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) establishes standards for learning, development, and care for children from birth to 5 years old. All schools and Ofsted-registered early years providers must adhere to the EYFS guidelines, including childminders, preschools, nurseries, and school reception classes.
We offer tailored settling-in sessions for both you and your child to ensure a smooth transition into the nursery.
We understand that the first day can be emotional for parents. You may choose to stay with your child briefly or hand them over to our staff right away—either option is fine. Throughout the day, feel free to call us for updates on your child's progress. Our team will engage your child in daily activities, and upon pick-up, we'll share details about their day.
Each child's adjustment period varies, but rest assured that we will work closely with you to help them feel comfortable as quickly as possible. Our nurturing staff will provide ample reassurance and affection during this time. Often, parents find the settling-in process more challenging than their children do.
During the settling-in session, your child's key person will inform you of any necessary items. Generally, these may include nappies, wipes, a change of clothes, and any comfort items such as a dummy, cuddly toy, or blanket.
Yes, please provide nappies for your child. You can either supply them in bulk for us to store or pack them in your child's bag daily.
In case of an accident, we document the details and provide a form for you to read and sign upon pick-up. For significant accidents, we may call you beforehand. In emergencies, we prioritize your child's well-being and inform you as soon as possible.
Please inform us about any injuries that occurred at home when dropping off your child at the nursery. We will ask you to complete an existing injury form to confirm it happened outside our premises. This information is essential for safeguarding all children in our care.
Biting is common in early years settings and can occur for various reasons. We understand how distressing it can be for both children and parents, so we promptly notify you if your child is involved in such an incident. If biting becomes a recurring issue, we'll arrange a meeting with our designated nursery SEN/Behaviour Practitioner to support you and your child.
Rest assured, we prioritise your child's well-being at our nurseries. While we don't actively promote naps, we understand the importance of rest for young ones. Therefore, if your child needs a nap, we will gladly accommodate them. During the settling-in session, we will discuss your child's sleep routine to ensure they feel comfortable in our care.
